Don't miss out!!

New for the 2022 season: members can now launch their own non-motorised craft from WBC during club opening hours (see further details on our Boating page).

The club is now open every Saturday 2-6pm, Sunday 10am-6pm, and all bank holidays and school holiday weekdays from 2-6pm until the end of September.

Check here for river conditions before visiting as the club cannot open if the river is on a yellow or red warning due to strong water flow. WBC is located between Shiplake and Marsh locks.

Dates for the diary:

  • Fun on the River 12th June 1-5pm. Open to members and non-members for river based activities. There will also be a BBQ, bar and bouncy castle.

  • Rag Regatta 9th July!

Introduction to the club:

Wargrave Boating Club is a family, members only club set on an idyllic stretch of the River Thames

The club caters both for those who simply want to enjoy the river in true 'Swallows and Amazons' style and for those who like to be more competitive on the water.  Families with children have hours of fun out on the river at weekends and in the school holidays in the sit on kayaks, Canadian canoes and rowing dinghies.

The club's various sections run popular training courses for both adults and children. These prove an excellent way to learn a new skill and make new friends in the process.  Fine Boat membership allows for the use of the beautiful wooden skiffs, punts and rowing craft.  There are opportunities to compete in regattas (including the fun of the Rag Regatta) and the club stages several social occasions throughout the year.
