New Members Day - cancelled and re-arranged

Dear members. We are very sorry but unfortunately we have had to take the decision to cancel the New Members Day on Saturday (tomorrow) due to the river still being on Yellow Boards. We were hoping that the levels might drop so apologies for the lateness of this notice. For members who are not aware what this means, it is when the river is flowing too fast for most of our boats to go out on the river. You can find the current river conditions here: http://riverconditions.environment-agency.gov.uk/#listB. Our stretch of the river is Shiplake to Marsh Lock. Summer Party!

Come to the Summer Party at Wargrave Boating Club! The theme is "Oktoberfest in June" - sway along a Barvarian Oompah band, The Eidelweiss Band, whilst drinking beer and eating Bratwurst and Pretzels all overlooking the beautiful River Thames..... So dig out your Lederhosen and grab a ticket while you can..... Saturday 23rd June from 7pm, £18 each includes first beer * and a Stein to take home! Open day update

Dear members Our open day is approaching fast and the weather forecast is looking good! We wanted to let you know that Glen Wouters from the RLNI will be at the Open Day between 1pm and 4pm. Did you know that every year the foam in your buoyancy aid or life jacket degrades until it reaches a point when it will not do its job. Glen will be assessing all the Boat Club buoyancy aids. If you would also like to have your buoyancy aids and life jackets checked for safety and fit then bring them along for Glen to inspect. There are a very limited number of buoyancy aids available to hire from the club but you should purchase your own to avoid disappointment as all under 9's and non-swimmers u

TLC day- thank you!

Thank you so much to all the members who came down to help on the TLC day. It was a great success with all the jobs completed by 2pm!  Special thanks go to Barry and John for organising the tasks and to Sara Beazley and family for the refreshments. I hope you are all looking forward to the Open Day on Saturday, spread the word and hope for a sunny day!
