As part of the 2019 Wargrave Festival, Tim Hodges held a Jazz night at the club. Part of the money raised has been used to provide a public access Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at the club. We are delighted to announce that this has now been installed and is fully operational. The Committee would like to extend a huge thank you to Tim for enabling us to purchase this life saving equipment.
The defibrillator is installed inside a locked box. If you require the use of the AED please call 999 and the call handler will give you the code for the box. Defibrillators are designed so that they can be used by anyone. The equipment gives you instructions as you use it and also the 999 call handler will talk the user through its operation. In addition to this, WBC will be providing online training for members or you can access the South Central Ambulance Service online video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTuhA4WhkmI#action=share
Please download the Save a Life App. The app uses GPS functionality to show where the nearest AED is as well as a list of other AEDs in the area. It also features videos, CPR instructions and a section that will answers many cardiac arrest and heart attack questions.

Thank you again Tim. Let’s hope we never have to use it though!
